Place-based Reform in Scotland
Supporting local authorities in Scotland to use the best evidence to inform strategic investments in children’s services
About
Project Lead: Jointly led by Louise Morpeth, PhD and Tim Hobbs, PhD
Scottish Government has provided funds to support the development of a five-site consortium of councils.
The consortium builds upon existing place-based reform work happening in these sites and provides the opportunity to share learning, identify areas for collaboration and help further support the development of implementation strategies intended to improve outcomes for children and young people.
Our role
DSRU will provide specialist support to develop local capacity, which includes assistance to use fund-map methods to inform strategy development and implementation; training on the selection and implementation of evidence-based activities to improve outcomes; and further analysis and dissemination support of data collected from epidemiological surveys on the health and development of the local child population.
DSRU will co-host a series of learning events across the five sites in the coming months and will facilitate the launch of the five-site consortium in March 2016.
